Depending how you wear your sling, one side has a metal clasp on a Viper pull cord, this releases a metal toothed clasp that allows your weapon to drop and extend your sling length instantly. You can use the same system to retract your sling, bring your gun in closer to your shoulder or back and run without being smacked about by your own primary.
The shoulder strap is also slightly padded and hollow through the middle should you wish to thread through any hosing. The sling is further adjustable on both ends with manual strap retention. On each end of the sling you have a metal clasp that is covered by a Nylon elasticated sheath. These are purely made to stop your weapon from getting rubbed and scuffed up so easily.
